I’ve added a new page to the blog. It takes a look at the Air Force museum at Paya Lebar. You can access it from the menu bar at the top of the blog. Smiley.
I see something like normal order was re-installed down in Melbourne 🙁 Smiley IN BRIEF Changi: It’s all very quiet at the moment. 9M-XXH was towed out of the hangars, and VQ-BGY was hidden again. Just one biz as far as I can tell. On a brighter note, as you will have seen elsewhere, I … Continue reading
It’s not very often we see A310’s here (or anywhere really). So as this one has been coming here quite a bit recently, I thought I’d honour it with a post of its own. Smiley
Not much to report today Smiley IN BRIEF Changi: Pretty much a case of being Billy No-Biz today with only the Las Vegas Sands machines in action. The sick Thai A340 went home this morning. Paya Lebar: A USAF C-40 arrived last night. Seletar: Nil Points! Full details below.
There’s an AirBridge 744 here that’s a bit of a mystery. It’s apparently been here a while and I can’t for the life of me work out which one it is. Hopefully SBS will get it on departure! Smiley IN BRIEF Changi: P2-PXC a B738 arrived in the early hours operating yesterday’s Air Nigiuni flight. … Continue reading
As I write this on Thursday morning, the smog is returning. Gulp! Smiley IN BRIEF Changi: Last week Westar Aviaition gave us an old lady in the form of N413JG. Today they provided an even older one: VP-BDJ! For the record: A330 9V-STV’s first service was a gentle hop to KUL and back on the … Continue reading
I can’t help feeling that the movements that I don’t report, i.e. the locals, are perhaps of the most interest. However, I have neither the time nor inclination to type out large lists of AirAsias and Lion Airs let alone the 9V- fleets. So I am looking at my SBS logs to see how I … Continue reading
As noted below, the BA15 from LHR didn’t turn up today. It’s due on Tuesday. No doubt there’ll be some disgruntled Lions fans sat drinking the T5 bars dry. Smiley IN BRIEF Changi: B-5221 Boeing 737-7 was an unusual China Southern arrival at lunchtime; it’s usually an Airbus. No BA15 today, no Bangladesh again either. … Continue reading
As you may have read, the smog has drifted northwards. so we are enjoying a brief respite. Not too much excitment today. Smiley IN BRIEF Changi: No Bangladesh today. Other than that bombshell, not much to say. Seletar: I had PK-JBA an ATR 72 departing on SBS. Not sure if it came out of here? … Continue reading
Not really sure why I bothered, but I took the camera to Changi this morning. Photography in the mornings at T1 is always difficult due to the position of the sun. Throw in some pollution and it gets even more problematic. These aren’t great, but I thought they were worthy of a post as I … Continue reading
And another busy day… Smiley IN BRIEF Changi: The smog is dispersing a little, but a number of XSP biz regulars are still coming here. JA834J B778 JAL was a first visit, as was newly delivered 9V-STV. Paya Lebar: Both Aussies that arrived yesterday departed. Rumours that they are carrying the set of rugby balls … Continue reading
Another busy day… Smiley IN BRIEF Changi: N413JG Weststar Aviation 737-200 was in and out this morning. What a machine! Weststar’s GII is currently at Seletar on maintenance, but I can’t imagine this visit was in connection with that. To see a photo, click here . In the photo, you can see a Malaysian flag … Continue reading
The pollution, sorry I mean haze, continues to dominate Singapore. Don’t think SIN lost any movements, but there were a few delays. Seletar wasn’t closed, but a couple of its regulars turned up at SIN and not much happened there. Another tweak to the Pax movements section today. Cargo will probably follow suit shortly. Smiley … Continue reading
The smog that has been around since Monday reached biblical proportions today, and Seletar suffered with air-tests cancelled and a few biz diverting to SIN. Am still tinkering with the layout of these posts; nearly there. Smiley IN BRIEF: Changi: Star Movement was ZK-OXA an Air New Zealand A320 on delivery. HL7709 a Korean Air … Continue reading
Changi: P2-LAC L-100, which was a Paya Lebar weather diversion last night, continued its journey to Paya just before lunch. PK-PFZ a Pelita Fokker 100 turned up this afternoon. Also worthy of note was VN-B223 a Vietnam Airlines ATR72; it’s been in before, but not very often. Finally, B-5916 A333 Air China was a first … Continue reading
