We have ourselves a new Gulfstream on the island. Actually we may have two, but I guess not. The one I saw was using a call-sign of B-95119 and it was busy doing touch and gos at Sungshan today. I saw it this afternoon from some distance so I can’t confirm if it’s G650 N99KZ (msn 6283) … Continue reading
A few things to note this week. Sovereign N578AB (25th), Challenger D-AFAD (26th), King N350KF (30th and 1st), LAS VEGAS BBJ N887LS (1st), and G150 VH-PFV (1st). Little else to tear me away from watching the tennis though.
Slightly later than usual with the report this week. Those who worry about me slowing down in my dotage will be reassured to hear that alcohol rather than senility is to blame (although the end results are often confused with each other). There’s been a lot of runway changes recently and as I may have … Continue reading
I suspect no one saw the best visitor here this week: SR JET Legacy 500 B-3385 was in for an hour early on 9-JUN. Of the rest, HYUNDAI’s BBJ HL8290 was probably the star, but Cessna U206 Float Plane D-EBIW has to be a close second. There were a some unusual biz visitors too including … Continue reading
Another week, another Frenchie. Another Gulfstream G650 too. The Frenchie was Falcon 900LX F-HRAY and the Gulfstream was N368GW. There were some other G650s too including B-88322 making a return from wherever it’s been hiding recently. The week was ended off quite nicely with VISTAJET MALTA Challenger 9H-VFH. One I’m not sure about was Embraer 145 … Continue reading
I’ve made a quick raid on this excellent Facebook group to share a couple of things from the lighter side of aviation in Taiwan. First up is one from Johnny Chung. It’s Diamond DA-40NG B-88123 (msn 40.N088). Next one is one that seems to be based around here. It’s another Diamond. This time DA-42NG N858BR … Continue reading
Sir Thomas of Cruise was in town this week to promote his latest movie. The Short One arrived on his Gulfstream IV-SP N808T on 24-May and departed the following evening. The 24th was a busy day with Gulfstream G450 N483CM and VISTAJET MALTA Global 9H-VJM also in. Normally one of those would have earned a photo … Continue reading
My recent choices for ‘star visitor of the week’ seem to be akin with story of Goldilocks And The 3 Bears. Two weeks ago it was a spindle: Cirrus-Design SR-22, last week some heavy metal: an Antonov An-124, and this week it’s something pretty much in the middle: an A318. GCL Poly Energy’s B-6936 arrived … Continue reading
Little to report this week other than another Japanese visitor. This time it was Sovereign JA680C. On the basis that it’s easier (and quicker) to get forgiveness than permission, I’ve ‘alf-inched’ a photo from Flickr. You can see the full version by 阿樺樺 here. She arrived on 12-May. Another one worthy of mention was Gulfstream G550 … Continue reading
When it comes to aircraft, this blog is very much an equal opportunities site. And while I can’t deny I’m partial to a bit of Gulfstream action, I’m very pleased to be able to share this photo of a nice visitor to TSA last weekend. With thanks to Clarence. I’m equally pleased to be able … Continue reading
The ‘Breitling’ DC-3 HB-IRJ is currently working its way round the world. It was in Taipei for a couple of days last week. With grateful thanks to Clarence Jing-Ping Fu, here are a couple of photos of it landing at Songhan. Should you be interested, you can read more about it here and here. Smiley … Continue reading
CHINA AIRLINES Will withdraw B-18806 (msn 433) their last A340-300 from service at the end of May. FAR EASTERN AIR TRANSPORT MD-83 B-28025 (line/msn 2214/53602) has been temporarily wfu and is currently parked at Taipei Songshan minus its engines. She’s seen here in happier days (April 2002) departing from Songshan. TRANSASIA AIRWAYS An update on … Continue reading
Super Constellation Flyer’s (AKA Breitling) DC-3 HB-IRJ which is currently on a world tour was a very welcome visitor this week . It arrived from Macau on 25-Apr, did a local flight on 26-Apr, and it departed on 27-Apr. Sovereign JA04AA was also well received.
Well, I’d like to say I’m back but the reality is that I’m not. As well as work, there have been other things going on to keep me busy, and tomorrow I’m off to Beijing for a week. When I return from there it’s the Lunar New Year party season (I’ve got 6 to go … Continue reading
It’s very much a case of short rations for my last post of the year. I’ll start by wishing everyone a happy new year (prosperous or otherwise). Taoyuan: 25th Dec CATHAY PACIFIC A350-900 B-LRI made a first visit this morning (now, where’s that pesky B-LRH?). NIPPON CARGO Boeing 747-800F JA11KZ may well have been a first … Continue reading
